Karachi Luncheon

150 of the top women in business in Pakistan including top dignities, celebrities, heads of corporates and key entrepreneurs attended the LADIESFUND®Women of Influence Luncheon held at Acton House, Runnymede, the British Deputy High Commission Karachi.

Organized for Dawood Global Foundation by Dawood Capital Management in partnership with the British Deputy High Commission and sponsored by FWBL, HOM, GSK, Etihad & Engro Corp with the support of over 25 leading entrepreneur institutions of Pakistan, this milestone event featured a lively networking reception in Acton House, followed by an intense interview of Begum Nasreen Jalil, former Deputy Mayor of Karachi, by Dr. Ishrat Husain, former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan.

 

Tara Uzra Dawood, CEO of DCM and LADIESFUND® spoke of the introduction of this networking platform for working women and officially launched LADIESFUND® Magazine, Pakistan’s first magazine for the advancement of women professionals and entrepreneurs. British Deputy High Commissioner highlighted the importance of networking, “The cost of doing business significantly decreases if you do business with someone you know.

So the message is clear- Get Networking! We hope these luncheons can help us achieve this goal.” Funds raised went towards promotion of women financial security, women entrepreneurship, LADIESFUND® fellowships and scholarships.
