Educate a Girl is a program dedicated to educating 1000 girls in 1000 cities
We are a nonprofit charity with a single mission:To empower a million uneducated or underprivileged women to have a transformational impact on the world
Goals achieved
- 1,000 girls successfully funded and educated in Karachi, Pakistan and 250 educated in Nigeria
- Wired and facilitated girls by providing them the access of educational resources.
- Worked with partnered organizations to make this a mutually benefited program.
Today
- We transform women’s lives in 1,000 cities through assisted education, seeking to improve their lives, their family, their community and the world
Tomorrow
- We build an educated, healthy and prosperous society with dignity and honor for all people.
Goals to be achieved
- Enable top 10% of trained girls to get internships with partner brands
- Have a minimum of 30% trained girls to improve their family situations through provisioning of jobs.
IMPACT ASSESSMENT
- 1,250 Girls have been funded and educated (1000 in Pakistan & 250 in Nigeria)
- 40 trained by British Council's BBC award-winning trainer Alex Preston
- 400 girls trained by UNDP-GEF SGP in Climate and Environment
- 25 girls trained by Swiss Consulate in Karachi
- 40 girls trained by British Deputy High Commission
- 400 girls trained by Australian High Commission in Pakistan
- 3 girls are news anchors
- Several girls have leading columns in their local newspapers
- 6 girls have funded scholarships out of their first ever paychecks
- 1 girl has funded two scholarships for her peers!
